Having successfully developed South Korea's first 765kV ultra-high voltage transformer and 800kV ultra-high voltage circuit breaker (Gas Insulated Switchgear), Hyosung Heavy Industries is recognized for its world-class technology in the field of ultra-high voltage electrical equipment. In recent years, to better respond to the new paradigm of the electrical industry known as the future DC grid, Hyosung Heavy Industries has been focusing on developing new technologies, and has successfully developed ESS, STATCOM, and voltage type HVDC. In addition, Hyosung Heavy Industries has been pushing to upgrade its asset management solutions that provide systematic management services for facility assets that have combined 4th-industry-technology-based products, services, and operating systems.

    • Developed an integrated ESS control solution
    • Commercially operated Gimje Substation’s 48MW ESS station for indoor FRs
    • Developed ESS with solar power connectivity (Installed 50.3MW/160MWh, including 7MW/18MWh in Yeongheung, 8MW/33MWh for Haenam Green, and 12.5kW/32MW in Samcheonpo)
