Hyosung Heavy Industries produces transformers that serve specific purposes including gas insulation transformers, mobile transformers, and STATCOM transformers, and we also supply products needed in various industries including Scott transformers, and transformers for electric furnaces.

  • STATCOM Transformer
    • Uses large capacity inverter technology to control the power system with high precision and high speed.
    • The transformer is designed to resist the harmonic current and DC current generated by the large capacity inverter.
    • Benefits are increased stability of the power system, increased transmission capacity, and reduction of transmission cost.
  • Scott Transformer
    • Scott transformers are mainly used for feeding power to the electric railways.
    • Scott wiring transformers are designed to resolve the unbalance of the three-phase due to the single-phase load of the electric railway
    • To get a single-phase from the three-phase, the principal coordinate and the T-coordinate are Scott-wired.
    • Standard specs are: 30/40MVA, 45/60MVA, 60/80MVA, 90/120MVA etc
  • Furnace Transformer
    • Furnace transformers have been designed with strong dielectric characteristics and high short circuit strength
    • Due to the operation characteristics of the furnace transformer, frequent switching surges and short circuit operations often occur, but high reliability is secured under such conditions.
    • Due to very large current at the low voltage side, a Bar-coil is used
  • Rectifier Transformer
    • A special industry transformer to supply power to rectifier circuits of a diode or thyristor.
    • High reliability and quality are guaranteed under harmonics and change in loads
